Rock Camp Productions represents the work of Seth Abramson and the group of performers, artists, and designers that work together to create wonderful and meaningful experiences for a wide variety of events.

This story begins with Seth's mom Pinky, who grew up with her parents in the coalfields of WV but summered in Rock Camp on her grandparent’s farm.  Eventually she moved there with her parents, and opened a small natural foods store called the Way Back.  For years the way back was a staple of the local community, serving earth-loving folks who migrated to the area affectionately as "earthels".

Before to long she met and married Seth's father who had relocated to the area to fulfill his residency as a doctor.  As soon as Seth was officially on the way they moved to New England where Seth grew up.  Seth excelled in theater in high school, which laid the foundation for his artistic career.

Pinky moved back to the farm in Rock Camp when Seth was a teenager. He visited his mother and grandparents every summer.  Seth's grandfather, Russell constructed a miniature golf course, taught him to shoot guns, and gave him a three-wheeler to play with.  Seth's obsession with the family farm has held through since.

Shortly after Pinky's return to Rock Camp she bought the store across the street from the now dilapidated Way Back.  In his college summers Seth and Pinky ran the Rock Camp Store Producing community events such as a weekly open mic, showcases for local bands, pool tournaments, and the occasional wedding reception.

When not running the Rock Camp Store Seth worked with performance kite fliers, modern dancers, acrobats, fire spinners, and circus variety performers doing shows in such venues as the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, Woodstock '99, The Today Show, Phish NYE 2000, a number of GOTV's, a number of Bonnaroo's and a bunch of other schools and museums.

After college Seth moved to NYC, and quickly got a job in the VIP of one of NYC's biggest nightclubs as the interactive performance director. Seth had a run of a few years in the underground NYC nightclub scene and also interned with some of NYC's most famous avant-garde theaters.  He also attended NYU receiving his masters at NYU's school of the arts (TISCH).

During his first month in Grad school his mother Pinky had an unfortunate ATV accident and passed away.  During his last semester there he was diagnosed with MS and decided it was time for a change of pace.  He moved back to the family farm in Rock Camp where he has produced his work since.

Pinky always said that when she passes she didn't wish to be mourned, rather her life be celebrated in the tradition that she had established.  Pink Moon festival is an attempt to honor that wish.  Every year will open with a not to be beat dance party and a show of Seth’s most potent work: the glowing dragon puppet rodeo.

We hope that you will join us in this celebration and participate as one of the family in a place that has become a home and holy place to so many in our circle.
